Can Google compete with Facebook??

Over the last couple of weeks the rumour is that Google is working on a new Social Networking website Google of course doesn’t comment on rumours, but equally hasnt denied that they could be working on this. If they are the new Google Me as it’s being called will probably make use of existing Google profile pages, which are connected up with Google Buzz. One of the ongoing clever things Google do is to make all it’s YouTube users connect up their accounts to a Google account, which could result in these Google account holders becoming part of Google's massive social network and thereby gives them what they need to have a huge userbase for Google Me from the start.

YouTube is one of the most popular and used websites on the web and so could all this tie in together?

If Google do this there are obviously huge possibilities and opportunities for companies wishing to spread their goods and services out even further; and of course would rival Facebook’s ad’s giving even greater reach for Online Marketeers and SEO Experts.
